LICENSING PROCESS
Suffice to say that without a license you won't be able to enjoy the full benefits of our compensation, so it should be a top priority to get licensed ASAP. Set a schedule to study and pass your exam. Follow the steps below to expedite the licensing process.

If you haven't done so, register for your 52 hr Pre-Licensing Course by following the steps below:
Go to Xcelsolutions.com
- Select Insurance Pre-Licensing either in English or Spanish, click Continue
- Select your resident state
- Select Life, Accident & Health
- Click Go to Cart
- Apply Discount Code: Alliance
Complete your checkout and registration
The amount you will pay for the exam will depend on what type of location you select.
- CDI Locations are government run locations. ($50)
- PSI Locations are private locations. ($83)
- You will need to score a 60% to pass the exam
To schedule or reschedule an exam at a PSI Location
- Go to PSI Exams
- Create an account.
- On the right side click on Register for a Test
- The "Organization" is Government/State Licensing
- Jurisdiction is California
- Account is CA Department of Insurance
- Classification is PSI Site or CDI Site – Life, Accident and Health Agent Examination (Life Agent)
- The School/Provider is XCEL
- Click on Schedule for a test
- Type in Zip Code
- Click Search
- Select the Location
- Click Continue Select a Date and Time
Once you finish taking the exam make sure to also complete your finger prints. DO NOT GO ELSE WHERE, doing so can delay your license.

CONGRATULATIONS!
Allow 24 hours for your information to be updated in the system before you're able to apply for your license. You'll need your test results paperwork to process your application, so do not loose it.
After you pass your exam it's time to apply for your license.
- Go to Sircon's website
- Click New Insurance License
- Click Resident
- Click Individual
- Click Continue
- Enter your email
- Click Continue
- Enter required details (Last name and SSN)
- Preparer Applicant
- Select California
- Select Credit Card/Electronic Check Submission
- Click Continue
- Select Resident Licensed Producer
- Click Continue
- Fill out required information
- Click Continue
- To download a copy of your license click here
- Enter the required information and click next
- Click on Resident Insurance Producer and a copy of your license will appear
- Save a copy of your license and upload a copy using the button below.
Once the documents are uploaded, they will be sent the appropriate partied and you will be cc'd. You will receive an automated confirmation from WFG Licensing. Please allow 48/72 Hrs for license to appear on their system
Complete the following courses to meet the prerequisites for getting appointed. You'll need to know your license number and National Producer #, obtain your National Producer Number here.

- Select CA 8-Hr L&H Initial Product Training CE Package ($34.95)
- Click Add to Cart
- Complete your courses
Before you can upload your AML certificate make sure WFG has received and processed your license. If they have not, you will not be able to upload your certificate.
Upload AML Certificate to WFG's site. Estimate time to complete: (5 MIN)
- Log into mywfg.com
- Go to Menu
- Under Administration
- Click on BOSS Electronic Forms
- Select AML Certification
- Answer the security question
- Select Other as vendor
- Enter the Date of Completion
- Follow the instructions and upload your certificate
GET APPOINTED
Independent insurance agents, like ourselves, typically represent a number of insurance companies, or "carriers", and sell the products that most appropriately meet the needs of their clients.
To become appointed with an insurance company or "carrier", is to receive official authorization from an insurance company granting an agent the authority to act as its agent and sell their specific products; without getting appointed, you will not be allowed to sell insurance.
Below are the steps you'll need to follow to get appointed with some of the different insurance companies.
- Log into www.mywfg.com
- Click on MENU
- Click on Licensing & Appointments
- Click on Appointments
- Click on Carrier Appointments
- Click on Life and Disability Insurance
- Click on Non-New York Life and Disability Carriers
- As you obtain licenses in DIFFERENT STATES, you will need to RE-APPLY / REPEAT the (NON-RESIDENT) Appointment request process for EACH provider in EACH state you are licensed.
You can submit an electronic request for the following insurance companies via the MyWFG site:
